A new poll from Fox News has some alarming numbers for President Trump. According to the poll, 50% of registered voters support impeaching and removing the president from office. Around 41% are against impeachment.

The numbers have remained relatively steady since October. This round of polling was conducted the week of December 8th through the 11th.

In other bad news for the president, Fox News polling found each Democratic candidate beating Trump in one-on-one matchups. Former Vice President Joe Biden is beating the president 48%-41%. Senator Bernie Sanders tops the president 49%-43%, and Senator Elizabeth Warren has a slim 46%-45% lead.

While these numbers should concern the president and his team, it is still early in the process. The Democrats still have a bruising primary to get through. Though Vice President Biden has long been the front runner, a victory is by no means a guarantee. The numbers are sure to change once the race becomes a one-on-one contest.

Despite the poor polling numbers, the president is not likely to be removed from office. The House of Representatives will be voting on impeachment this week. While he is expected to be impeached by the House, most pundits believe he will be acquitted in the Republican-controlled Senate. Removal would require 67 votes and Republicans control 53 seats in the upper chamber.
