Local fighter Brok Weaver will make his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 161 in October. He will face Thomas Gifford in a Lightweight division bout. The event will occur on October 19th at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
The event will be headlined by a bout between former women’s Strawweight champion Joanna Jędrzejczyk and Michelle Waterson. Eleven fights have been announced for the card thus.
Weaver, a native of McIntosh Alabama, won his spot in the UFC via Dana White’s Contender Series. He boats a 14-4 professional record and is currently riding a 7 fight win streak.
