The workweek is getting off on the wrong foot as severe weather is in the forecast for Monday evening. The daytime hours will bring warm temperatures, with highs topping out in the middle to upper 70s. Rain chances pick up around 6:00 PM.

The storms will pick up overnight, and some of them could be severe. Heavy rain and damaging straight-line winds are the biggest threats, but there is also the possibility of an isolated tornado.

As always, pay attention to weather alerts tonight. There are several ways you can stay informed. You can watch your favorite local news station or even the weather channel. There are numerous weather apps available for Apple and Android devices. If all else fails, a weather radio will do the trick.

Temperatures will begin to drop once the cold front passes. High temps could be reached first thing in the morning. Tomorrow’s high is only expected to reach about 58 degrees. The temperature will be dropping through the day, reaching a low of 33 tomorrow night.
