Mardi Gras Off To A Strong Start

Mobile’s Mardi Gras season got off to a strong start Friday night. Police say nearly 60,000 people showed up for the Conde Cavaliers parade. The good times continue tonight as the Pharaohs roll out at 6:30 PM.

Police responded to 19 calls during the Cavaliers parade. Four arrests were made, with 2 being misdemeanors and 2 being felonies. Officers also issued 117 parking tickets. Twenty vehicles were towed.

In order to ensure a good time downtown, plan ahead! Know the area, and make sure your parking spot is safe and legal. There are plenty of paid parking lots in the area if you are worried about parking on the street.
