Christmas is less than 2 weeks away. If you are looking to enjoy the Christmas spirit this weekend, there will be plenty of opportunities to do so. Here are some of the local events going on in our area.
Saraland will have its annual Christmas parade today at 12:00 PM. The parade runs down Highway 43 and attracts a good-sized crowd, so get there early for a good spot! The city will also have a Mistletoe Market in the old Food World and K-Mart parking lot.
If you can’t make it out to the parade, but still want to see some Christmas floats, WKRG News 5 has you covered. Channel 5 will be airing the Pensacola Christmas parade live at approximately 5:30 PM, following the Army-Navy football game.
The Christmas Night of Lights is still running at Hank Aaron stadium each night. On the weekends there is also a Santa Village where kids can make Christmas ornaments, mail letters to Santa, and get a picture with the man himself! The light show is $7, and access to the Santa Village is an additional $3. Children ages 3 and under get in free.
Bellingrath Gardens also has its annual Magic Christmas in Lights up and running. This walking tour of the gardens covered in lights takes roughly an hour to complete. They have hot cocoa and snacks available for purchase at the Live Oak Plaza. High-quality pictures with Santa are available for purchase at the Magnolia Cafe. Wheelchairs and wagons are available for a $5 rental fee. Admission is $16 for adults, and $8 for children ages 5-12.
