Chunchula Shooting Update

The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of those involved in a fatal shooting in Chunchula. According to Local 15 News, Johanna Harbison shot and killed her boyfriend, David Bailey, after he struck her in the face with an AK-47 in the midst of an argument.

As reported earlier, police were called to Clebourne Ct. In Chunchula early this morning. We now know they were called due to a case of domestic violence. Witnesses heard gunshots and a woman screaming. Two calls were made to 911.

The two were engaged in a physical altercation when Bailey struck Harbison in the face with an AK-47. Harbison retrieved a 9mm pistol and shot Bailey in the chest. Authorities pronounced him dead on the scene.

Thus far, no charges have been brought up against Harbison.
